As the business hub in Pakistan, the capital city of the Sindh province and the country's financial capital, Karachi is a truly global city with one of the highest local populations of any city in the world. Situated on the Arabian Sea, the city has a number of active ports and a multi cultural population with a diversity of ethnic, religious and linguistic origins.

In recent years, Karachi has developed its infrastructure to meet growing traveler demand. The Jinna International Airport has been expanded to provide a number of options for business travelers, including global banks and an adjacent hotel. You can get around the city both through its expansive public bus and tax routes, which can take visitors throughout the city - the most common taxis are the Yellow and Black taxis, the former are more expensive and newer.

The city features a variety of influences ranging from traditional Middle Eastern to Asian and Western culture, making it the most cosmopolitan city in the country. Known as the cultural hub of the country, it is home of the National Academy of Performing Arts as all the international Kara Independent Film Festival and the Pakistan Music Festival on an annual basis. The city also features a variety of museums including the Quaid Mausoleum, the PIA Planetarium and a variety of art galleries including the Sadequain Galerie and Garden.

For those seeking recreation, you can also find relaxation at the water's edge including Clifton Beach, the world renowned French Beach, a series of offshore islands including Manora Island and coral reef. The city is also home to a number of parks including the Sarari Park, Samzu Zoo and Water Park, as well as the Karachi Beach which also houses the city's Natural History Museum.
